Working alongside nineteen classmates, we designed, documented, fabricated, and installed a worktable for the Gunnin Architecture Library on Clemson University’s campus. The table’s organic form was inspired by the nature in the courtyard outside of the library. The table tops are engraved with topography from the Clemson area. Our design allows for adequate sunlight to filter through, creating a harmonious space for students to study in the library. This biophilic design provides a unique collaborative workspace created by students for students. We hope to have created a space that will impact Clemson students for years to come.
